Purebred Farm Golf Course

A new era of play

Golf resort guests are seeking additional ways to play the game. Notably, they are looking for golf experiences that cater to all skill levels and require less time. With this in mind, we are currently constructing the 14-hole Purebred Farm golf course, an expansion of our world-class Blackwolf Run golf complex. This latest development sits on 47 acres of maintained turf directly west of Meadow Valleys and will be a walking only, multi-loop course with par 3s, 4s and 5s that provide guests with an alternative golf experience.

We plan to take a minimalist design approach to maintain the property’s natural terrain for the routing that features prairie, farmland, and river valleys, while avoiding all existing wetlands. Guests will access the new course from the current Blackwolf Run entrance, including check-in at the clubhouse. The Tomczyk Cabin, part of the Kohler Cabin Collection of lodging, will be converted into a rest station for golfers to enjoy after the 4th and 9th holes. Most of the existing hiking trails will remain intact, with the potential opportunity to construct additional trails in the future.

To design and construct Purebred Farm Golf Course,  we have teamed up with  King Collins Dormer (KCD), award-winning designers out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. KCD prides itself on creating timeless and artistically inspired golf courses.
